About IEC
Indigenous Education Compass is a Canada-wide education navigator designed around Indigenous youth. Our purpose is to help students see what’s possible, stay connected to culture and community, and find their own direction.
Why IEC Exists
Choosing what comes next means making sense of programs, requirements, funding and unfamiliar places. IEC is being built to bring those pieces together, so students can explore possibilities with more clarity and confidence.
Indigenous Youth at the Centre
Culture, identity and community belong in education planning. IEC centres Indigenous youth while welcoming all students. Indigenous identity is voluntary; exploring your future should not require you to prove who you are.
Opportunity Across Canada
Your options can take you close to home or somewhere new. Our vision includes universities, colleges, Indigenous institutes, trades and training across Canada, with attention to the Nations, territories and supports around each destination.
